John R. Pruitt
Of Revere, on March 14th, at 61 years. Cher-
ished son of the late Paul R. Pruitt & Joan (Altri)
Pruitt. Loving & devoted husband of 24 years to
Former Revere School Committeewoman Don-
na E. (Costa) (Wood) Pruitt of Revere, also lov-
ingly survived by her children, Kristen M. Wood
of Peabody & Robert M. Wood & his wife Jenni-
fer of North Reading. He was the proud grand-
father of Olivia & Addison, they were his sun
and moon. He was dear brother to his identical
twin; the late Paul W. Pruitt. He is also loving-
ly survived by many extended family, friends,
players & coaches. Family & friends are invit-
ed to attend the funeral from the Vertuccio &
Smith Home, for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte.
107) Revere, on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00
a.m., followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass in
Holy Rosary Church, 1015 Shirley St., Winthrop
at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be on Friday
from 4-8 p.m. Parking is available in the lot left
of the funeral home. Interment will be private.
John worked for Brigham’s Ice Cream for over
25 years as well as coaching Babe Ruth Baseball
in Revere. He was also an assistant coach at St.
John’s Prep alongside his twin brother, Paul. In
lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to
the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60

of 43, on April 11, 2017. Devoted father of Rich-
ardW. Cookson III and Gerard R. Cookson of Re-
vere. Cherished son of Richard W. and Teresa L.
(Crosby) Cookson Sr. of Winthrop. Dear broth-
er of Amy B. Cookson-Ford of CA. Adored uncle
of Ava, Abby, Anna and Alley Ford. Former hus-
band of Heather (Reddick) Cookson of Revere.
Funeral was held from the MauriceW. Kirby Fu-
neral Home, Winthrop on Tuesday, April 18. A
Funeral Mass was held in St. John the Evange-
list Church-Winthrop. Burial followed in Win-
throp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Richard Jr.
and family would like to pay it forward to either

land Chapter, 1 Bulfinch Pl., 2nd Fl., Boston, MA
