Revere finishes six runners at Boston Marathon

On Monday, April 21, marked the 118th annual Boston Marathon--- the 26.2-mile race from Hopkinton to Copley in Boston. This year’s race had 35,760 participants from 96 countries. Top finisher Meb Keflezighi, who crossed the finish line in 2:08:37 hours, became the first American in 31 years to win the Boston Marathon. The top female finisher was Kenyan Rita Jeptoo who completed the race in 2:18:57 hours.

Revere Youths Earn Boston College High School Honors

Gabriel Drumond Depinho, 2016 of Revere achieved High Honors for the Third Quarter at Boston College High School. For High Honors a student must have at least a 3.8 quality point average and all grades C+ or higher.

Seacoast Academy Hosts Spaghetti Supper

Principal Tom Misci and the staff of Seacoast Academy hosted a spaghetti and meatball dinner to raise money for the student activities at the academy. The Beachmont Veterans Middle School cafeteria was filled with music provided by RHS students, face painting and of course a delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner with all the trimmings, including a desert table. This event was a huge success thanks to all the hard work from the staff and students but most of all because of all those who bought a ticket and attended the event to help the students of the Revere school system.

Revere Beach Partnership Announces Revere Beach Kite Festival May 18

Revere Beach Partnership, the nonprofit organization that creates some of Revere’s best-loved events, including the Sand Sculpting Festival, Fall Festival and Farmers’ Market, invites you to attend the Revere Beach Kite Festival. It happens on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Revere Beach, across from Kelly’s Roast Beef.alt
