Everett Police Department (EPD) Detective Robert Hall will run in the 122nd Boston Marathon on April 16 to benefit Cops for Kids with Cancer, a nonprofit charity that works to ease the financial burden on the families of children diagnosed with cancer. This will be Hall’s 6th year running for the charity. He and other EPD runners have raised over $85,000 through marathons since 2013.
This year Hall has set a goal of $10,000, and he’s hoping to exceed it. A donation as little as $1 is welcomed. To donate, you can either mail a check to the Everett Police Department at 45 Elm St. in Everett, or visit https://copsforkidswithcancer.org/team/bhall/.
“As a police officer, I understand the importance of and duty to give back to the communities that we in law enforcement service,” said Hall.
Cops for Kids with Cancer benefits the families of children diagnosed with cancer. Families are each awarded with $5,000 to ease financial burden. The charity has raised over $2.5 million over the years, having dispersed funds to over 480 families.
