QB “Duke” Dillon and running back Mike Sainristil will be the Tide’s secret weapons Thanksgiving Day. The EHS Crimson Tide football team will face off against the Masconomet Regional Chieftains in an away game in Boxford Thanksgiving Day, and first year head coach Theluxon Pierre is looking to close out the season strong. The Tide took away the T-Day prize when they faced off against Masco at Fenway Park last year, winning by 36-20. Another victory this year would be a balm to Everett, who are smarting after narrowly losing Div. 1 North Semifinals to Central Catholic, 23-20, the teams only loss in a 9-1 season. Everett’s last game…

Tide pounds Acton-Boxborough, 48-14
By The Advocate To say it wasn’t a good night to be on the receiving end of a frustrated Crimson Tide football team that fell out of Super Bowl 2018 contention by a field goal in a 23-20 loss to Central Catholic is an understatement when Everett High trotted onto the Acton-Boxborough home field last Friday evening. The first half saw Everett’s senior wide receiver, Mike Sainristil, and sophomore quarterback “Duke” Doherty put on a TD showcase with three touchdown receptions for 39, 66 and 75 yards. Sainristil also scored on a fantastic 75-yard run in the fourth quarter. Next year Mike will be on the field at…

Tide football tourney journey upset by Central Catholic
Late field goal sends Red Raiders to Div. I north Finals By The Advocate No one in Everett Stadium could have possibly seen the ending to this tournament game – Tide football has routinely won over so many years on their trip to a Super Bowl berth. But on Friday night, Everett High School saw the end of their tourney dreams when the son of Everett’s police chief, Central Catholic High sophomore Nick Mazzie, kicked a 34-yard field goal with less than 60 seconds left in regulation to upset Everett, 23-20, to win the Division I North semifinal. The Tide came out strong early in the game with…

Pop Warner Crimson Tide B team falls in playoffs
The Everett Crimson Tide Pop Warner B team had their season end with a playoff loss to the East Lynn Bulldogs this past Sunday at Everett’s Veterans Memorial Stadium. The boys never got their offense on track, and that proved fatal against the visitors, whom they had previously beaten in week 1. Head coach Cataldo Kidd and offensive coordinator Matty Caffarella tried all they could, but nothing clicked that day. Special accolades go to Team Mother Ann Marie Kidd, who once again did a fabulous job coordinating practices and game info with the players, coaches and parents. Her attention to detail was impeccable. I would also like to thank the…

Tide set dominating tone in first-round playoffs
Crush Andover, 41-14; face Central Catholic tonight, 7 p.m. By The Advocate As expected, the Everett High School Crimson Tide football team walked into the first round of the MIAA Div. 1 North tourney like the giants they are, and stepped on Andover, 41-14, to the delight of the hometown team on Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The number 1 seeded Football Tide handed number 8 Andover a serious beatdown thanks to the senior offensive attack of Mike Sainristil, Isaac Seide and Gilbert Kabamba along with sophomore quarterback Dillon “Duke” Doherty. Seide rushed for two touchdowns combining for 113 yards for a 21-0 Tide lead. The highlight of…
