City Council brings back children’s races and more
The Everett City Council has proudly announced that it is bring back a long-standing tradition for Everett’s youngsters at the Independence Day Celebration at Glendale Park. The children’s races and decorating contest will resume this July 7, the day of Everett’s Independence Day Celebration. The boys & girls races will start at 9:30 a.m. and will be in the following age groups: 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. The races will be followed by a watermelon-eating contest. A decorating contest will also be conducted for the most festively decorated bike, doll carriage or wagon. Judging will be done & concluded by noon. Kick off the day’s celebration with the City Council.
