State Senator Sal DiDomenico recently hosted a forum with the Massachusetts Production Coalition to highlight the importance of the film and television industry in the Commonwealth. The forum featured a panel discussion with several prominent Massachusetts business owners and organization leaders from across the state who are involved with the Commonwealth’s film and television industry. The panelists discussed their careers in the industry and the impact of the film incentive tax credit on their ability to live and work in Massachusetts.
“I have seen firsthand, in my district, the tremendous benefits that this industry brings to our communities,” said Senator DiDomenico. “Full-length feature films, documentaries, commercials and other productions add greatly to our economy and provide countless jobs to our residents. Dozens of films have been made in Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett and Charlestown; and Allston-Brighton is the home of many production companies and businesses that are used regularly by the film industry.”
