Last week State Senator Sal DiDomenico addressed the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) at their Annual Day on the Hill. At the event, the Senator thanked them for their service to their schools and their communities, and provided Association members with an overview of the Senate’s Kids First Initiative and several education legislative priorities this session. He also met with several School Committee Members from his district, including Marcony Almeida Barros (Everett), Kathleen Kelly (Cambridge) and Jeanette Velez (Chelsea).
“It was a pleasure joining my friends from the MASC at their recent Day on the Hill event,” said DiDomenico. “Furthermore, Representative McGonagle and I had the opportunity to congratulate the Everett High School culinary team who, once again, displayed their incredible talents for our State House colleagues at the Day on the Hill luncheon. Thank you to the students, as well as the teachers & chefs, Despina Makredes and Carolynn Hickey Parmenter, for always bringing pride to our community. Finally, I would like to thank MASC Executive Director Glenn Koocher for all he does for the Association and our schools throughout the Commonwealth.”
