A SHIRT TO CELEBRATE SAUGUS: Adult leaders Glen Woodworth, Tom Stewart and Kevin Wildman of Saugus Boy Scout Troop 61 show off the sporty green t-shirts that promote Saugus as “The Birthplace of Steel.” The troop, established in 1928, is celebrating its 90th year this year.
HOT DOGS ANYONE? Dominic Imbrogna, a Star Scout and member of Saugus Boy Scout Troop 61, was in charge of grilling the hot dogs as part of his troop’s fundraising efforts.
A DAY FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Steven Ottersburg; Deputy Fire Chief Thomas D’Eon Jr.; Laura Flynn, a member of the Board of Trustees of Saugus Public Library; Ally D’Eon and Selectman Jennifer D’Eon were among the hundreds of town residents who enjoyed the cool and comfortable weather that graced Founders Day.
IT’S GOOD! Angelo Rosso, 5, and his sister Briella, 2, the children of Christina Rosso, enjoy some fried dough and pizza served by the food vendors.
FOUNDERS DAY NO. 6: 12-year-old Gino Figliola has been performing half of his life at Saugus’s Annual Founders Day. He is the son of former Saugus resident Brenda Figliola and loves to play the drums with the background of DJ music.
