Lynnfield Substance Abuse Coalition names “A Healthy Lynnfield” logo contest winners

Fifty-plus Lynnfield Middle and High School students submitted logo contest entries for the newly formed Lynnfield Substance Abuse Coalition (SAC), titled “A Healthy Lynnfield.” The entries were impressive, which made the decision by the SAC committee extremely challenging.

Two entries were chosen as the top choice by the Committee: The finalists were Lauren Lim, a Lynnfield Middle School (LMS) 8th Grader, and Isabelle Giordano, a Lynnfield High School (LHS) 9th Grader. The Committee asked that Isabelle and Lauren work together to combine their designs into one logo that will represent “A Healthy Lynnfield.” Allison Dillon, an LHS 9th Grader, received an Honorable Mention. The winners received gift cards to MarketStreet Lynnfield, which were provided by the Healthy Lynnfield SAC.

As there were many outstanding entries from both LHS and LMS representing the mission of “A Healthy Lynnfield,” SAC has committed to making a 2018 Healthy Lynnfield Calendar using student artwork. Stay tuned!

The logo contest was coordinated by Mary Homan, LPS Coordinator of Nursing. Special thanks to Art Teacher Elizabeth Hayden (LHS) and Wellness Teacher Sheri Weeks (LMS) for facilitating the students’ work for the logo contest as well as to the 50-plus students who submitted designs to SAC.
