Saturday 3-3-18

Game 1 – Celtics 59, Kings 38

           We open with 1 vs 8. The Results had J. Pomare & A. Cohen with (12) M. Preziosa & S. Cherefant joining the sets with (10) each, as the Emerald get the Win. The Kings struggling season continues as they only score double digits in one quarter today & Only M. Cherif hit double digit points with (11) in this disappointing loss as the Celts get their revenge.

Game 2 – Hawks 48, Sonics 33

           Hawks keep pace with Celts as they knock off the Sonics. “MVP candidate” L. Walker led his team with (18) and 3 yr man A. Alterio added (14) in the big win. Last years “Rookie of the Year” J. Montiero led his team with (16) and “ROY candidate” J. Sorrano got (12) of his own as the Sonics suffer a tough loss in the standings race.

Game 3 – Bullets 59, Lakers 54

           Boys in blue are making it interesting as they sneak by their arch rival Lakers & clinch a playoff spot officially. A team high (23) came from”MVP candidate” A. Mutebi. Teammates A. Sequar (15) K. Sonam (12) helped with the Win. Lakers R. Moore had his team high with (23) as B. Stickney drops 5 – 3 pointers and ends up with (17) As Day 1 gets the advantage & the bragging rights.


Sunday 3-4-18

Game 1 –Lakers 57, Celtics 56

           The Purple people get it done at the right time. As they not only upset the top team Celtics but they jump into a tie for the final playoff spot available with 1 week to go. Another great shooting day for B. Stickney who added 7 more 3 pointers to his 5 yesterday and ended with a game high (25) R. Moore also joined his partner with (13) The celtics actually outscored the lakers 30-29 in the 2nd half but just couldn’t turn that 1 point around in their favor as M. Preziosa (21) and A.Volmar (11) tried their best in the surprising loss. As the teacher teaches again. Poor Magic!

Game 2 – Bullets 79, Kings 43

            Day 1 must love this type of weekend. 1st Lakers then Kings as this marks a sweet day indeed as the Bullets jump into a tie for 1st place in the standings as the madness approaches. Spreading the ball around nicely showcased A. Sequar with (21) A.Mutebi (19) B. Chen (12) and T. Bazley (11) for the Win. M. Cherif once again the only one to hit the double figures with (10) as the kings clinch the 1st pick next season. Good Luck to them.

Game 3 – Pistons 82, Sixers 72

             Not much defense in this one as the score can show as the Pistons are still in reach from claiming that 4th place slot they had half the season, now with this win. They got a huge game coming up next Sunday as they face the Lakers in the last game. In this one though, they got a monster game from M. Tafese (29) & M. Niboh with (21) as the Sixers will now need a lot of help to get back to the 4th place slot. J. Regis was their high man with (23) as S. Clavel had his best game in the MNBL with (15) and U. LeBron added (14)
