Bayrd Foundation pays for shade shelters at Trafton Park

A generous donation from Malden’s Adelaide Breed Bayrd Foundation made possible the installation of two shade shelters over the picnic tables at Trafton Park. The new shelters provide much-needed relief from the summer sun, creating a more comfortable space for caregivers to relax while children play in the tot lot and for families and friends to gather, socialize and enjoy the park. To help protect the structures and extend their lifespan, the canopy covers will be removed each winter by the Malden DPW and reinstalled during the warmer months. The shade shelters are the latest enhancement to Trafton Park, adding to the many amenities available for residents and visitors to enjoy.
