Fourth of July events in the parks are planned

Ward 1 POSTPONED

Location: Choppa Field at Green Street Park.

Date: POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER; NEW DATE WILL BE PROVIDED SOON.

Time: 6:30 p.m. — Family activities begin; 8:45 p.m. — Movie begins

Celebrate the 4th of July with Ward 1 Councillor Peg Crowe and School Committee Ward 1 Member Michael Drummey. Join us for a fun-filled evening featuring a family movie night, bounce house, games, basketball shooting contest, and music. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy a night under the stars.

Location: Devir Park, 190 Emerald St. (next to the Irish American).

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Time: 9:30 a.m.: Celebration begins with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Join Ward 2 Councillor Paul Condon and School Committee Member Rob McCarthy for a fun-filled morning featuring inflatable activities: bounce houses, water slide, bungee run & more, Annual Greg Lucey Basketball Tournament, pony rides, slush, lots of games for the whole family.

Location: Ward 3 Amerige Park, Fellsway East.

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Time: 10:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.

Join Ward 3 Councillor Amanda Linehan and the Ward 3 Association for a festive Fourth of July celebration featuring DJ-music, bouncy castle, face painting, balloon animals, slip and slide and yard games, ice cream truck and BBQ and more.

Location: Coytemore Lea Park.

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Time: 10:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.

Celebrate the 4th with Ward 4 Councillor Ryan O’Malley and the Ward 4 Association! Enjoy a full morning of family fun, including races and throwing competitions, bouncy house and slide, party bubbles, swimming pool access, music and more.

Location: 74 Sylvan St., next to the Forestdale School (Alex Gentile Memorial Park).

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Time: 10:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.

Join Councillors Ari Taylor and Carey McDonald and School Committee Representative Elizabeth Hortie for a free, family-friendly celebration! Enjoy a day filled with fun activities, including a petting zoo, face painting, photo booth, burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers & slush, water slide & bouncy houses.

Location: Trafton Park.

Date: Friday, July 3, 2026.

Time: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.

Join Councillor Steve Winslow at the newly renovated Trafton Park for this year’s Annual 4th of July Party — all free and fun for the whole family! Enjoy bouncy houses and water slides, hot dogs & hamburgers and slushies, basketball skills contest, costume contest, races & games and more.

Location: Lincoln Commons.

Time: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.

Join Ward 7 Councillor Chris Simonelli for an afternoon of community fun at Lincoln Commons! The celebration will include bike raffles, hamburgers from Smashburger, water slides, a jumpy house, games and activities for all ages.
