Saugus-based Richard Mauro, vice president of Metro Glass & Metal, elected GEANE vice president

The Glass Employers Association of New England (GEANE) elected new officers at their annual board meeting, including Saugus’s own Richard Mauro, vice president of Metro Glass and Metal Company, as GEANE vice president. Mauro, a resident of Saugus, has over 25+ years of diverse experience in the commercial construction and glass markets. He leads Metro Glass and Metal with his brother Stephen Mauro, and the company is a full-service glazing contractor, providing a range of specialty services.

He is one of the three officers elected to serve GEANE. Lee Sullivan, president of A&A Window Products, was elected as the president, and Laurence Miller, executive vice president of Salem Glass, was elected as the secretary-treasurer.

The Painting & Finishing Employers’ Association of New England (PFEANE) and GEANE represent union building trades contractors dedicated to providing safe, high-quality work at a fair price. Every two years, at their annual board meeting, PFEANE/GEANE elect distinguished contractors to serve as the Association’s officers.

“We are honored to have these esteemed members of the finishing trades industry serve as the officers of PFEANE/GEANE. They bring valuable knowledge, decades of experience and will help to strategically move our mission and goals forward,” said Thomas Gunning, the fund administrator of PFEANE/GEANE.
