State Senator Sal DiDomenico recently met with Brigadier General (ret.) Gary Pappas and Brigadier General (ret.) Jack Hammond, the Executive Director of the Home Base Program, to discuss early education, military readiness and the importance of increasing the rate reserve for early educators. The Generals were at the State House as members of Mission: Readiness, an organization of more than 700 retired admirals, generals and other top military leaders dedicated to strengthening national security by ensuring kids stay in school, stay fit and stay out of trouble.

“It was an honor to meet with Brigadier General Pappas and Brigadier General Hammond to discuss Mission: Readiness and the vital role that high-quality early education plays in enhancing the lives of our children, as well as strengthening our national security,” said Senator DiDomenico. “I’m proud to support them and their mission through my own work at the State House.”
