  The Peabody Institute Library (82 Main St.) will be hosting the following events:

The Fun in the Making Early Literacy Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 28.

  The four-part “Song of the Lark” Discussion Series will begin at 11 a.m. on May 2. Registration is required as space is limited.

  The seven-week class Tai Chi for Healthy Aging will begin at 11 a.m. on May 3. Registration is required as space is limited.

Savvy Seniors, presented by the Attorney General’s Office of Community Engagement, will be held at 1 p.m. on May 3 at the West Branch Library (603 Lowell St.). Registration for the program is recommended, but not required.

Drop-in Spring Craft sessions will be held from 5-6 p.m. on May 3, May 17 and May 31.

  Family LEGO Saturday will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 5. Registration is required as space is limited.

Books and Dominoes will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 7 for children ages two to five. Registration is required as space is limited.

Baby Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. on May 8 and May 22. The program will also be held at 10 a.m. at the South Branch Library (78 Lynn St.) on May 1, May 15 and May 29. Registration for the program is recommended, but not required.

Toddler Story Time will be held at 11 a.m. on May 8 and May 22. The program will also be held at 11 a.m. at the South Branch Library (78 Lynn St.) on May 1, May 15 and May 29. Registration for the program is recommended, but not required.

  Family Story Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 12. Registration for the program is recommended, but not required.

Novel Arrangements: A Fundraiser for the Peabody Institute Library Foundation will be held at 6 p.m. on May 17 at the West Branch Library (603 Lowell St.). The ticket cost is $40.

  The Second Annual PILCON will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 19. Tickets are available at http://pilcon.eventbrite.com.

Books and Bingo will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 21 for children ages two to five. Registration is required as space is limited.

  The library and its branches will be closed from May 26-May 28 in observance of Memorial Day. Following the holiday weekend, the Main Library will begin its summer schedule as follows: Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Friday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Saturday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The library will be closed on Sundays.

 

 

  GreenFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 28 at Brown Elementary School (150 Lynn St.).

Congressman Seth Moulton will be hosting a Town Hall discussion at 1 p.m. on April 28 at City Hall (24 Lowell St.).

  The North Shore Alzheimer’s Partnership will be hosting a research update at 5:30 p.m. on May 2 at the Peabody Council on Aging (79 Central St.).

  The Pride in Peabody Clean Up will be held at 9 a.m. on May 5 at City Hall (24 Lowell St.). A lunch for volunteers will follow at 11:45 a.m. at Leather City Common (53 Lowell St.).

  The Peabody Education Foundation will be hosting the Sixth Annual George Peabody Legacy Award Ceremony at 6 p.m. on May 17 at City Hall (24 Lowell St.). Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at http://www.peabodyedfoundation.org/George-peabody-legacy-awards/.

The Fifth Annual Citizens Inn Family Yard Sale will be held from 7-11 a.m. on May 19 at 40 Washington St. The rain date is May 20.

The Third Annual Young Entrepreneurs Academy Tradeshow will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 19 at the Northshore Mall (210 Andover St.).

The 24th Annual Peabody Golf Day will be held at Salem Country Club (133 Forest St.) on May 21. The morning tee time will be at 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon tee time will be at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $100 for residents and/or city employees and $115 for nonresidents.

  The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce and the Peabody Rotary Club will be hosting the Torigian Golf Classic at 7:30 a.m. on June 18 at Ferncroft Country Club (10 Village Rd. in Middleton). Golfers can register online at www.peabodychamber.com.
