The library and its branches will be closed all day on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Hand-Sewing for Kids will be held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 26 and Feb. 20 for children ages eight to 12.     Lappin Foundation and Temple B’nai Abraham invite families with children age 6 and younger to celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the birthday of the trees, with planting, a PJ Library story, crafts, and light snacks. Sunday, January 13th from 11 am – 12 pm at Temple B’nai Abraham, 200 Lothrop Street in Beverly. PJ Library Tu B’Shevat is a free program of Lappin Foundation and Temple B’nai Abraham and is supported by CJP.     City of Everett will hold Christmas Tree Bonfire on Jan. 12

       Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce that the City of Everett will host the 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire on Saturday, January 12 at 4 p.m. at Seven Acre Park. Attendees will enjoy entertaining fire jugglers, a train ride around the boundary of the fire, entertainment from a DJ, and complimentary hot chocolate and s’mores from Mayor DeMaria and the City Council. The Department of Public Works will work tirelessly and diligently leading up to the event to collect trees throughout the city to build the fire.
