    City of Everett, community partners launch first-ever food plan

    Mayor Carlo DeMaria, Everett Community Growers (ECG) and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) are proud to jointly announce the Everett Community Food Assessment & Plan.     Everett residents benefit from free fresh produce through Everett Community Growers and Bread of Life

    In June a teenaged worker at the Everett Community Growers (ECG) farm bicycled down the Northern Strand Community Trail to deliver the first batch of produce – fresh greens – to the Bread of Life Food Pantry to help neighbors in need. ECG is a program of the Everett Community Health Partnership (ECHP) that works to improve health outcomes and increase civic engagement among Everett residents through urban agriculture and other food justice initiatives.     Exelon Generation donates $18,000 to Everett Community Growers at “Good Food for all” event

     Special to The Advocate The Everett Community Growers held their “Good Food for all” event to kick off their summer programs, on a beautiful summer day at the new Everett Earthworks community garden.     Using image and story to build a healthier, more equitable food system in Everett

    Everett-based food justice organization Everett Community Growers (ECG) is convening a small group of Everett residents to share their experience of Everett’s food environment through a camera lens. Participants are taking to the streets as community photojournalists and capturing images that tell stories about issues in Everett’s food system, and features that make it great. They’re doing this to identify ways to improve health and racial equity in Everett’s food system.
