    Annual Everett Kiwanis Pasta Dinner another great success

    By The Advocate Hundreds of local pasta lovers turned out on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Edward G. Connolly Center for the Everett Kiwanis Club’s annual Pasta Dinner which raises funds for scholarships for local Everett students to help further their education following high school. Club President Rafael Santos, along with the enthusiastic membership including Immediate Past President Steve Rocco and members Dan Cameron, Rocco Longo, and Frank Mastrocola who always do a great job in the kitchen.     Everett are you ready to be “Scared Safe?”

    Everett are you ready to be “Scared Safe?” The Everett Police Department in conjunction with Everett Kiwanis is again running its Bike Safety Halloween Day. It will occur this Saturday October 27 from 1-3 PM at Glendale Park and invites all students and guardians from grades kindergarten through grade 5. The first 100 youngsters will receive free fitted bike helmets and safety training from Everett’s Finest. Wear your Halloween costume and you might win a bike ! Refreshments and gifts will be provided to all Everett ‘s youngsters.

    Kiwanis host Bocce Tournament

    Everett Kiwanis is proud to announce the winners of its inaugural Frank Mastrocola Bocce Tournament, which was held on Saturday, June 9. A team sponsored by Rocco Longo of Sabatino Insurance won the daylong double elimination tournament. It consisted of John Bonanno, Neil Perry, Pia Frittitta and Ralph Bagarella. The winning team immediately donated the $750 back to Everett Kiwanis. This generous act brought the total earnings of the event to over $6,000. All of said money goes to a Kiwanian scholarship fund that this year again awarded $10,000 to graduating Everett High School students.     Everett Kiwanis Club to hold inaugural Frank Mastrocola Bocce Tournament

    Everett Kiwanis Club to hold inaugural Frank Mastrocola Bocce Tournament   The Everett Kiwanis Club is proud to announce that the field is set for our inaugural Frank Mastrocola Bocce Tournament. Twelve teams consisting of members of the Everett Police Department, City of Everett officials, teachers and business owners will compete for $750 in first-place money. Best of all, the day is designed to help Kiwanians fund the $10,000 they try to give each year to Everett High School students.     The Everett Kiwanis is happy to announce its first annual Bocce Tournament to sustain its scholarship fund for Everett High School students. Each year we try to give $10,000 for up to 10 deserving Everett High scholars who plan to continue his or her education. Unfortunately, some years we have been unable to sustain this amount.
