    Soderberg Insurance announces scholarship winner

    On Friday, September 21, Soderberg Insurance Services presented Chloe Marie Therese Gladu with the inaugural Frances R. Soderberg Scholarship. This scholarship was dedicated in memory of the company’s co-founder. Frances worked all her adult life to improve the lives of members of the special needs community through the integration of recreational, social and educational programs within the special needs community north of Boston. This devotion was in addition to her responsibilities at the company and raising a family. Chloe was a perfect choice as the first-ever recipient of the scholarship.     LHS baseball player Cooper Marengi awarded $1,000 Wakefield Co-operative Bank scholarship

    LHS baseball player Cooper Marengi awarded $1,000 Wakefield Co-operative Bank scholarship Cooper Marengi, a 2018 Lynnfield High School graduate and baseball team captain, received a $1,000 scholarship from Wakefield Co-operative Bank at the team’s end of season banquet last month. Marengi was selected by the coaching team for his upbeat personality and passion for the game, and for being a role model to underclassmen. “Cooper’s coaches and peers respect him tremendously; he’s a natural leader on and off the field and donates his time to mentor and be a role model to kids in need and kids going through difficult times,” said Michael Juliano, the treasurer of Lynnfield Baseball Boosters.…

    This year, the Revere Veterans Committee Co-Chairs Al Terminiello, Jr. and Ira Novoselsky announced two scholarship recipients from the Class of 2018. Thanks to the generosity of Revere residents and summer BBQ’s at the American Legion, two $250 scholarships were awarded. The Revere Veterans Committee wishes these two upstanding graduates of RHS good luck, and we know they will represent the City of Revere honorably.

Two scholarships in the amount of $500 each to two high school or college students furthering his/her education in any of the following: Horticulture, Landscape Design, Botany, Landscape Architecture, Forestry, Land Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Floriculture, Conservation, or City Planning. The applicant  must be a Peabody resident and a graduating senior of an accredited private, public, vocational, or charter high school accepted to an accredited two or four year college or institute of higher education or a current college student.
