    Melrose 200 Club to hold annual bazaar

    The annual bazaar run by the Melrose 200 Club will be held on Saturday, November10th from 10 am until 2 pm in the Common Room of the Fuller House, 101 Cottage Street. Several outside vendors will participate, and other featured tables include jewelry, gifts, Christmas items, white elephant, handmade crafts and knit items, baked goods, and a light lunch for purchase. A raffle table will include many themed baskets and gift certificates/cards.

    Wakefield Co-operative Bank Holds Jeans Day for Mission of Deeds

    Wakefield Co-operative Bank employees wore jeans to work last month to benefit Mission of Deeds. The bank’s President & CEO, Jeff Worth, doubled employee donations with a personal contribution out of his own pocket, bringing the total donation to $417. Every month, bank employees are encouraged to wear denim to work on designated ‘Jeans Days’ in exchange for a small donation to a community organization. With the help of volunteers and community donations, Mission of Deeds serves thousands of families and individuals throughout Middlesex and Essex counties, including veterans, previously homeless, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, the elderly, victims of fire or other tragedies, and those with disabilities.

    Parking data presented for Wakefield-Lynnfield Rail Trail

    By Christopher Roberson   The Friends of the Lynnfield Rail Trail recently released parking data for the proposed trail and how it compares to the parking arrangements of other Rail Trails on the North Shore. According to the Friends group, consulting firm Beals+Thomas recommends that a Rail Trail have “20-50” parking spaces per mile. Lynnfield’s section of the trail would be 2.5 miles long and would have 328 parking spaces per mile for a total of 819 spaces. Wakefield’s section would be 1.9 miles long and would have 142 spaces per mile for a total of 270 spaces. In contrast, the Rail Trail in Danvers is 4.3 miles long and…
