On Thursday, November 30, Mayor Carlo DeMaria and First Lady Stacy DeMaria – along with City Councillors Michael McLaughlin and Wayne Matewsky, Chamber President David LaRovere and city employees – welcomed Down The Road Beer Company and its founder and head brewer, Donovan Bailey, to Everett.

This new Everett business, which is located at 199 Ashland St., joins Bone Up Brewing Company, Night Shift Brewing and Short Path Distillery as an alcoholic beverage producer in town. Helmed by veteran brewer Donovan Bailey, DTR Beer Co. is one of the fastest-growing breweries in the Greater Boston area. DTR recently finished construction on a state-of-the-art brewhouse and 300-person taproom, just blocks from the Wynn Boston Harbor site.

Mayor DeMaria’s administration continues to work to market unique urban business areas. Everett’s other breweries and distillery have had high praise for the DeMaria administration for its continued commitment and dedication to their businesses. Owners of Nightshift, Short Path, and Bone Up Brewing explained that the administration has been helpful and nurturing to their businesses. Mayor DeMaria has continuously emphasized that it’s not all about large-scale developments. Everett’s growth and success also depends on great operations like Down the Road.
