Wakefield Co-operative Bank has been spreading kindness around town in celebration of Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week (February 11-17). All bank employees were given two $5 bills and told they could keep one for themselves but had to pay-it-forward by surprising a friend or stranger with the other $5. Many employees gave away both of their $5’s to complete strangers as the moment struck them as right.
This is the fourth year in a row Wakefield Co-operative Bank employees have taken to the streets to celebrate national RAK Week. The week is led by The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, a nonprofit that works to spread kindness throughout schools, communities and homes with the belief that the power of kindness can change the way people see and experience the world.
