Of Everett. Entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly, Thursday, July 3, in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 97 years old. Born in Everett, Al remained a lifelong resident. He was a skilled, professional carpenter, specializing in finish carpentry. Al was responsible for the detail and precision workmanship which is evident in the many homes and businesses in and around the Everett area. A U.S. Army Veteran, Alfred served honorably during the Korean Conflict and was discharged as a Sergeant. He was also an avid golfer and a member at his beloved Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover, where he loved to spend weekends with his son-in-law, grandsons, friends and competition alike.
Alfred was the dear son of the late Michele and Ersilia (DiMarino) DeFeo; the beloved husband of the late Lona T. (Pagnini) for over 59 years prior to her passing; the dear and devoted father of Tia T. DeFeo-Fraulini and her husband, Gene Fraulini of Lynnfield; the loving “Papa” of Sam Fraulini and his fiancé, Alicia Howell, Jack Fraulini and his fiancé Amanda Shapleigh, and Will Fraulini and his girlfriend, Megan Sullivan; the devoted brother of the late Dasco DeFeo and his wife, Nicolette; Nicholas DeFeo and his wife, Anne; and Ines Simonelli and her husband, Nicholas. Al is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend Alfred’s visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett, Wednesday, July 9. His funeral was from the funeral home on Thursday followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Everett. Interment with U.S. Army Military Honors at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
