Received $20K from City’s First-Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program
Special to The Advocate
Mayor Carlo DeMaria recently met with Everett resident Manoj Pun Magar to congratulate him on purchasing his very first home in Everett with the support of the City of Everett’s First-Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program. After qualifying, he received $20,000 towards the purchase of the home.
Pun Magar expressed how proud he is to have a place to call his own where he and his wife can raise their three-year-old son and prepare to welcome another child this fall. He shared that it already feels good to experience the pride of homeownership and that he feels truly welcomed as a neighbor in the Everett community.
“I’m proud that the City of Everett was able to help Manoj and his family achieve the dream of homeownership,” said Mayor DeMaria. “Programs like this one are designed to strengthen our neighborhoods and ensure that more families have the opportunity to put down roots here in Everett.”
The First-Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program is available to income-qualified individuals and families who are purchasing their first home in Everett. The program provides financial support to help cover down payment costs, making homeownership more accessible for Everett residents.
