Everett man charged with multiple weapons violation

Everett Police Officers arrested a suspect in possession of a firearm early Sunday morning: Gabriel Goncalves, 19, of Everett. Officer Palermo was investigating a motor vehicle parked in a handicapped spot, with two persons in the vehicle and no HP placard. The operator, later identified as Goncalves, appeared to be hiding something in his waistband, and Palermo spoke with him. Goncalves was issued an exit order, and he refused to comply. Reportedly, with the assistance of Officer Uga, Goncalves was removed from the vehicle and during a pat frisk Officers found a handgun. The handgun a Glock 27, 40 caliber with a loaded magazine was placed into evidence.

Goncalves was arraigned on Monday, Dec. 1, in Malden District Court on multiple weapons law violations.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
