Paul V. Arnone, Jr. Scholarship Fund: Honoring a Life of Creativity and Service

Carmen Arnone has established the Paul V. Arnone, Jr. Scholarship Fund in memory of her beloved husband, Paul V. Arnone, Jr. (August 6, 1939–March 8, 2025), to give Malden children ages five to 16 the opportunity to participate in art, music and computer programs at MAP Family Learning Center.

Paul, a lifelong Malden resident, graduated from Malden High School in 1957 and proudly served in the Air Force. He worked as a dental lab technician before becoming an educator in his field, sharing his knowledge and passion with countless students. A 63-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Paul was instrumental in developing youth musical programs, fostering creativity and inspiring the next generation of performers.

Paul’s wife, Carmen, continues his legacy through this scholarship, reflecting his generosity, love of learning and commitment to nurturing children’s growth. “Establishing this scholarship fulfills a long lasting desire in my heart to support children in a way that reflects Paul’s values while honoring the life we shared,” said Carmen.

Creative learning experiences like these are especially valuable for children from lower-income families, helping them develop cognitive, social and emotional skills. This scholarship honors Paul’s generous spirit and dedication to helping young people learn and grow. Donations will help provide creative opportunities for children who might not otherwise have access.

Donations can be made payable to Creative Malden, 57 Pleasant St., Malden, MA 02148 (Memo: Paul V. Arnone, Jr. Scholarship). Online donations are also welcome via Creative Malden’s website, https://creativemalden.org/donate-map/

On the first anniversary of his passing, help celebrate Paul’s life by supporting Malden’s children in learning, creating and thriving.
