Edsel Benjamin Cadet of Everett, Mass., has graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a member of William James College’s class of 2022. Students at William James College, a leading school of psychology in Newton, Mass., train to become culturally responsive professionals in the fields of psychology, counseling, human services and leadership.

“As we continue to unravel the mental health consequences of the pandemic, these culturally responsive, highly trained students are prepared to support a world so desperately in need of effective leaders and behavioral health professionals,” Dr. Nicholas Covino, president of William James College said of this year’s graduating class.

The College held Commencement proceedings on June 12 for 193 students and their families at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Joseph D. Feaster, Jr. Esq., who became a mental health champion after the tragic loss of his son by suicide, served as the Commencement Speaker. He was awarded the Doctor of Humane Letters alongside Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka and Michael Carroll, photojournalist, and nonprofit founder.
