Special to The Advocate
State Senator Sal DiDomenico recently spent an evening with the Consul General of Italy in Boston, Arnaldo Minuti, and friends celebrating Italian cuisine and its ongoing path towards recognition as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. The group enjoyed a specially curated menu — designed by Chef Ambassador Mario Marini and inspired by the principles of sustainability and biodiversity — that explored the values, identity and benefits that define Italy’s culinary tradition.
“What an honor and privilege to celebrate my Italian heritage with the Consulate General of Italy in Boston and the Chef Ambassador,” said Sen. DiDomenico. “I am extremely proud of my roots, and it was great to take part in this celebration of Italian culture with community leaders from throughout Greater Boston.”
