Spring Sports Season begins on Monday; American Red Cross Blood Drive in Finn Gym on March 19

Malden High School’s “Junior Varieties” is widely considered one of the oldest and longest-running high school variety shows in the country, featuring a mix of comedy, vocal, instrumental and dance performances and other skits, largely led by the junior class. It is the biggest fundraiser of the four years for what is now the Junior Class of 2026. Malden High School’s Junior Varieties has a rich history, with students of all grade levels participating.
This year’s show kicks off on March 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Thornton Jenkins Auditorium. A second performance will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 at the door. Tickets can also be purchased on Friday, March 14 from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Malden High School.
Each year the show incorporates a specific theme, adding to the unique and engaging experience. This year’s show in “Minions.”

Submissions for the Malden High literary magazine The Oracle are now due!
Calling all writers, artists, poets, doodlers and creatives of all sorts! Take advantage of the opportunity to submit your work for publication in The Oracle by the end of this week! The Oracle is the student-led creative magazine. It’s a yearly publication of students’ visual artwork and creative writing. This includes photos, paintings, drawings, prints, pictures of 3D work, poetry, songs, plays, short stories, comics, letters – pretty much anything you can think of! The deadline for submissions has been extended until the end of this week.

Malden High Swim Clinic returns to Saturday mornings at MHS
Members and coaches of the Malden High School swim team will host a swim clinic again this Saturday. The session for highschoolers starts at 10 a.m. and goes for one hour. Blood Drive at Malden High School planned for March 19
The American Red Cross Club is sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, March 19 in the Finn Gym at Malden High School. Please visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter MALDEN HIGH as the site to register to donate. In order to donate blood, students must be 17 years old, or 16 years old with a signed parent permission slip. There are also height and weight restrictions, which can be viewed on the website.
