Week 4
Saturday, January 28
Game 1 – Kings 2, Sixers 0
As the Kings struggled all last weekend, they got a bit of a strange luck win, as the Sixers weren’t able to get enough players to the game on time & sadly had to suffer a Forfeit loss.
Game 2 – Bullets 47, Lakers 23
The Lakers dominated the fourth quarter with a 15-2 advantage thanks to R. Correale dropping 10 of his team-high 11 in said quarter. But the Boys in Blue dominated the other three and built a large enough lead that the fourth was irrelevant. Thanks to L Guertin (21) and B. Biscan with 14 rounding up the Double D scoring in this Contest.
Sunday, January 29
Game 1 – Bullets 53, Kings 22
The Kings’ woes continued as they were undermanned again with the team’s leading scorer still absent from the squad. But on a positive note, six of the seven Kings that played did score in this game. But none were able to get into double digits & help their squad compete better. As we already know, the undefeated bullets have plenty of fire power – jumping out to a 36-12 first half lead with C. Mijar (14) & B. Biscan (11) helping them stay blemish free in this early season.
Game 2 – Celtics 62, Sixers 33
The Emerald stayed locked in against a gritty crimson squad – showcasing just four players on the court from the Tap. The defending champ Sixers were only down by 6 at the half, thanks to a strong 18 from A. Martino. But once the fourth quarter hit, the Celts came on fast and took a 24-6 jump to the end of the game, with T. Melton (21), J. Pomare (15) and S. Antoine (12) finalizing the deal.
