Upcoming programs for kids at the MPL Children’s Department

Meet author Jenna McLaughlin on Friday, Oct. 28 at 4:00 p.m.

  Jenna McLaughlin, Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen 2022 and author of “Roxanne Takes a Stand,” will read her book and talk about ways to be kind and supportive of friends and classmates. She wrote her book after having her own experiences of being bullied when she was younger. Recommended for ages five to seven.

Through Me to You Puppet Storytime – Sat., Nov. 5, 3:00 p.m.

  Join Newton and his puppet friends as they take turns reading stories and singing songs with the kids. At the end of the 30-minute show, the kids are invited to say “hi” to Newton and give him a high-five. Kids can stay afterwards and play with some of Newton’s puppets during a hands-on Puppet Free-Play session! Recommended for ages five to seven. Funded by the Friends of the Malden Public Library.
