The A.C. Whelan celebrated Read Across America Day on Friday. It was day filled with celebrity and mystery readers. Read Across America Day is celebrated to encourage children to love reading, boost literacy, and foster community engagement, marking the birthday of beloved author Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel). Started by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998, the event promotes the power of reading for academic success and lifelong learning, using Dr. Seuss’s whimsical stories as a springboard for exploring diverse books and experiences.
