Arrest Leads to Recovery of a Firearm

On Friday, June 2, 2023, 22-year-old Hancel Muniz, of Revere, was arrested after an investigation by Revere Police Detectives. Muniz was charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license and illegal possession of ammunition. A loaded .22 caliber handgun was recovered by detectives.

“The Revere Police Department is committed to removing illegally possessed firearms from our streets,” stated Police Chief David J. Callahan.

On Friday, Muniz was arraigned at Chelsea District Court, where he was held without bail.
