The Farmer’s Market celebrated its Grand Opening on Revere Beach last Friday afternoon. Sponsored by the Public Health Department, it runs through September 27, open from noon to 4 p.m. on Fridays. It was previously run by the community engagement office. Conveniently located near two Blue Line MBTA stops, Wonderland and Revere Beach, the new location with 20 vendors is expected to provide thousands of residents with access to locally grown and sourced goods. The market will accept SNAP food stamps, WIC vouchers, Senior FMNP vouchers, and Health Initiatives Program (HIP) reimbursements for cold food items.
