Revere Celebrates Juneteenth, the Abolition of Slavery

In collaboration with the North Shore Juneteenth Association and Mayor Patrick Keefe, the City of Revere celebrated Juneteenth outside of City Hall on Tuesday afternoon. The federal holiday commemorates enslaved people in Texas learning of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation.
