Saugus Celebrates Black History Month

AS BLACK HISTORY MONTH began on Tuesday (Feb. 1), the Salem Maritime National Historic Site posted its online publication of “African Americans in Essex County, Massachusetts: An Annotated Guide.” The guide follows a two-year project – funded by the National Park Service and administered by the Organization of American Historians – to identify resources on Black history in Essex County archives.
