Connolly Center Lunch Club

  Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the Council on Aging (COA) are pleased to announce the following Monthly Lunch Club dates:

  Wednesday, September 7: Toscana Ristorante in Peabody; reservations will be accepted starting on August 15.

  Wednesday, October 5: The Wharf/Marina in Revere; reservations will be accepted starting on September 15.

  Wednesday, November 2: Maggie’s Farm in Middleton; reservations will be accepted starting on October 15.

  The COA will provide the transportation. Each person is responsible for their own meal. Space is limited to 20 people. Please call Cathi at 617-394-2323.

August Senior Social planned

  Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the COA are pleased to announce the monthly Senior Social for Wednesday, August 17, at Anthony’s Restaurant (105 Canal St. in Malden). This month, the COA has chosen a delicious meal for you to enjoy. It will include garden salad, grilled steak tips, BBQ chicken, baked potato with all the fixings, mixed summer vegetables, dessert, coffee and refreshing watermelon. You will arrive at 11:30 a.m. in the lounge area to enjoy coffee, tea and some breakfast pastries before ascending to the Terrace room for dinner and dancing with Ray Cavicchio and his band. Seniors on the road again

  Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the COA are pleased to announce two very special trips for this coming fall.

  On Wednesday, October 26, we are off to the North Shore Music Theatre to see the Tony award–winning musical “Kinky Boots.” The tour will depart the Connolly Center at 10:30 a.m. for a lunch stop at Bertucci’s. A special menu has been selected for you. You will have a choice of baked salmon or chicken parmigiana. After lunch, it is off to the North Shore Music Theatre for “Kinky Boots.” This musical is inspired by true life events – taking you from the floor of a men’s shoe factory to the catwalks of Milan. Join us for this upbeat, awe-inspiring show. Reservations are being accepted now.

  On Thursday, November 10, it is off to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A luxury coach will depart the Connolly Center at 10:30 a.m. for a delicious luncheon at Venezia on Boston’s waterfront. Following lunch, we are off to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This 15^th-century palace was once the home of Isabella and houses her personal collection of rare art. After our visit to the museum, we will enjoy a leisurely tour of Beacon Hill and Boston’s Back Bay. Reservations for this tour are being accepted now.
