Five vehicle pileup snarls afternoon traffic on Rte. 16

FIVE’S A CROWD: Speed might have been a factor when five vehicles piled up on the westbound side of Revere Beach Parkway (Rte. 16) on Monday at approximately 4:30 p.m. – which caused one vehicle to roll over. According to reports, at least two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Traffic was closed on the westbound side for at least an hour until all the vehicles could be towed and the scene cleared up. (Advocate photos by Michael Layhe)
