On June 3, Holly Garcia graduated from Massachusetts School of Law (MSLAW) with a Juris Doctor degree. On that exact date in 2009 she graduated from Everett High School after having 14 years of perfect attendance. After high school, she graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in 2013 and again with a master’s degree in 2015.

It has been her ambition to become a lawyer since she was 10 years old. She will sit for the bar exam in July and plans to practice family and juvenile law. During her time at MSLAW, she was the president of the Student Bar Association and the Diversity Alliance. She also participated in the MSLAW Meal Moderator program and served hot meals to residents of the Greater Lawrence YMCA once a month. All of this involvement in student activities and her continuous positive attitude contributed to her being honored as a Dean’s Award recipient at her commencement ceremony.

Holly is also very involved in serving Everett. She’s the chairperson for the Everett Citizens Foundation, the Faith Formation Director for Immaculate Conception, a Girl Scout Leader, the EHS Varsity Hockey Cheerleading coach and a member of the E Club. She also volunteers at food pantries and many other city-sponsored events. Working full time during the day and being a full time night student while keeping up with her additional involvements wasn’t an easy task, but she conquered that challenge. Holly is the first in her family to graduate from law school, and they are all very proud of her accomplishments.
