Anthony F. “Tony” Sanfilippo

Of Malden, formerly of Everett. Passed away peacefully at Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington on November 24, 2023. Beloved husband of Anna (Licata) Sanfilippo just shy of celebrating 65 years of wedded bliss. Loving father of Anna Maria Sanfilippo and Frank P. Sanfilippo. Cherished grandfather of Anthony F. Sanfilippo II. Brother of the late Ignazio “Iggy, Accursio “Gus”, Josephine “Josie” Hooper, Lillian “Lilly” Carr, Frank “Junior” Sanfilippo. Adored son of the late Agnes (Ciulla) and Francesco Sanfilippo.

Tony was the late owner of Saint Philip’s Cab Company Inc. in which he purchased his own medallion #788. He was also the late co-owner of Anna’s Pasta D’oro. Anna would make the Pasta and Tony would deliver the goods. He and his family also owned and operated Sanfilippo Rest Home in Malden where he was the accountant, Anna was the cook, Anna Maria was a nurse and Frank was the custodian. Together they worked on providing a family group home in which their clients were loved and lived happy lives.

Visiting hours were held at Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home in Everett, on Wednesday, November 29. Funeral at the funeral home on Thursday followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church in Everett. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
