Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Saugus Board of Selectmen will conduct a public hearing on the application of National Grid requesting permission to excavate the public highways and to run and maintain underground electric conduits, together with such sustaining and protecting fixtures as said company may deem necessary, in the public way or ways hereinafter referred to, and to make the necessary house connections along said extensions.

The following are the public ways or part of ways along which the underground electric conduits may be laid: Walnut St. – National Grid to install beginning at a point approximately 225 feet northwest of the centerline of the intersection of Great Woods Road & Walnut St, and continuing approximately 225 feet in a southwest direction. Install 2-4” conduits 35’ +/-from the existing Pole # 103 on Walnut St. to customers property at #223 & #225 Walnut St. for new underground services.

This public hearing will be held on March 14, 2023, at the Saugus Town Hall auditorium, second floor, 298 Central Street, Saugus, MA 01906.
