Keith Bernard announces candidacy for re-election to School Committee Ward 7

Dear Malden voters,

  In 2021 I ran for office because our community members asked and I answered. In the last two years I’ve worked hard making our schools fairer for everyone. I fought to make sure our staff were paid what they deserved and I led the vote to approve the new teacher and educational professional contract. I collaborated with our state delegation for funding and ensuring no student is hungry during the school day while they’re trying to learn.

  Our work is not done. I will continue fighting for our students to have access to the education they need and deserve, ensure our teachers have the tools they need to be effective and that every dollar spent is used responsibly because every young person should have the opportunity to succeed to the best of their abilities.

  I’ve talked with parents and caregivers, heard the concerns and advocated for families to get the support they need. I am committed to this community, my neighbors and our schools – together we can lead the way to a strong and bright future. I am asking for your support in re-electing me this fall.
