Malden native serves in the South China Sea aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt

SOUTH CHINA SEA (April 21, 2024) – U.S. Navy Lt. Brent Guthrie, left, and Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Jason Haas, from Malden, Mass., assigned to the “Blue Blasters” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 34, assign maintenance aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), April 21, 2024. Theodore Roosevelt, flagship of Carrier Strike Group Nine, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
