MALDEN, MA — The Malden Racial Equity Commission invites you to a crucial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Town Hall Meeting on February 7th, 2024, at 6:00 PM at City Hall. This event is an opportunity for Malden residents, businesses, organizations, and leaders to come together and:
Raise awareness: Learn why DEI is essential for a thriving, vibrant community.
Share perspectives: Contribute your experiences and ideas to shape our collective plans for 2024 and beyond.
Spark action: Collaborate on actionable plans to address racial disparities and promote inclusivity.
Why is this important?
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the foundation for a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. This town hall is about opening doors, fostering understanding, and creating a more just and equitable Malden for all.
You can expect an engaging panel discussion and hear from diverse voices on their experiences and perspectives on DEI in Malden. There will be an interactive Q&A to share your questions and concerns with the panel and fellow attendees. We will discuss and you will learn about the commission’s 2024 timeline and strategic plan for racial equity work. There will be a continued dialogue to discuss the findings of the Racial Equity Audit with representatives from HCH Enterprises.
Building an even better Malden together. Positive change requires collective action. We invite you to join us in this crucial conversation and contribute to shaping a more inclusive and equitable future for Malden.
