MALDEN TO HOST FIRST-EVER PORCHFEST SATURDAY, JUNE 11th

  The City of Malden’s first-ever PorchFest kicks off this Saturday, June 11, with more than 40 performances scheduled for front stoops, public parks, back yards, restaurants and garages across the city from Noon to 7 p.m.

  PorchFest is a volunteer-led celebration of music and community, with the goal of connecting neighborhoods and residents through the arts. Performance sites span every ward in the city, and include the Malden Warming Center, Patchell Park, Pisa Pizza, Pearl Street Station, Idle Hands, First Lutheran and St. Paul’s churches, and more. There will be DJs, blues, rock, poetry, indie pop, opera, gospel acts and more.

  This event is free and open to the public, with funding from the Malden Cultural Council, City of Malden, and numerous local businesses and resident donors.
