Thousands of students and families attend 2nd Annual City of Malden Backpack Drive

  Thousands of students and parents packed Miller Park for the 2nd Annual City of Malden Backpack Drive for a free backpack for the upcoming school year on Friday, August 12. The Malden Board of Health provided free Covid booster shots for all who attended.

  Ward 7 Councillor Chris Simonelli and Ward 8 Councillor Jadeane Sica and Mayor Gary Christenson’s Office hosted the event. The event was gratefully sponsored by ICNA Relief, Tufts Medicine, Malden Cares, Housing Families and Cambridge Health Alliance.
