Eileen B. (Monahan) LeBlanc

Longtime resident of Malden and Peabody passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was 94.

Born in Somerville on July 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen (McCarthy) Monahan. She grew up in the Charlestown area.

Family and friends were the most important thing to Eileen. She adored her beloved husband Richard and was exceptionally active in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed good food, and car rides up the coast. She was rather fond of Gloucester and looked forward to time spent there.

Eileen also worked at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, retiring after 25 years of service. She enjoyed her time there and made numerous friends.

Eileen will be missed by her adoring family and friends.

Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. LeBlanc with whom she shared 75 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Kevin LeBlanc and his late wife Valerie of Peabody, Joan Mallett and her husband Lloyd of Newmarket, NH, Audrey Plauetsky and Richard Jerell, Michael J. LeBlanc of Salem, Eileen Coggins and her late husband William of Derry, NH, Kathleen LeBlanc of Malden, and the late Richard P. LeBlanc and his surviving wife Catherine Macauley LeBlanc of Malden. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
