Patricia (Hegarty) McKenna

  Of Malden. Passed away on Monday, September 12th, at the High Point Hospice House, in Haverhill after a short-term bout with pancreatic cancer.  Patricia was born in 1938, the daughter of Patrick and Marguerite (McDonough) Hegerty.  She is the widow of her deceased husband Joseph McKenna, a World War II Veteran.  Patricia “Patsy” is survived by her brother Edward, his wife Marian of Gloucester, her nephews, Justin Hegarty of Beverly, and   Matthew and his wife Kim of Groveland, and their children, Cameron, Tyler, Karissa.

   Patsy was employed during her working days as the Everett Savings Bank. In retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to many far-off destinations.  She devoted much of her time and financial support to pro-life causes and Catholic charities.  She lived her whole life in Malden, and will be greatly missed by her many friends. Fortunately, and mercifully, her suffering was brief.

   Funeral Services were held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, Malden, on Tuesday, Sept 20 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, Malden.   Interment to followed in Forest Dale Cemetery.
