Senator Lewis to Host Community Conversation on Advancing Racial Justice in Our Communities

BOSTON, MA – Senator Jason Lewis is pleased to announce that in celebration of the Juneteenth holiday he will be hosting a Community Conversation on the topic of advancing racial justice in our communities.

Community Conversation: Advancing Racial Justice in our Communities will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 6:00-7:30 pm. The event will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/SenJasonLewis and a recording will also be available after the event.

Senator Lewis will be joined by a distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Laurie Nsiah-Jefferson, Director, Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at UMass Boston; Manjula Karamcheti, Melrose City Councilor and Co-Founder, Melrose Racial Justice Community Coalition; and Mai Du, Co-founder, Greater Malden Asian American Community Coalition.

Senator Lewis and the panelists will explore issues of systemic racism and inequality, and concrete ways that we can tackle these issues and advance racial justice and equity in our communities and Commonwealth. After opening remarks from each panelist there will be ample time for audience questions and discussion.
