Everett Kiwanis Club President Stephen Rocco welcomed its guest speaker, John “JJ” Gallant of Shooter Detection Services, LLC, at the Crimson Café at EHS on Tuesday. Gallant gave a presentation on the new technology that can detect a gun shot inside an area, such as a school, office or municipal building, which can alert authorities of an active shooter on the premises within seconds of the event. Sadly, it’s such technology that is needed in the wake of terrorism in an unstable world. President Rocco (right) is shown presenting a gift of the Kiwanis Club Bell to Gallant.
